Jason Muses is the web platform of writer Jason Brooks, a free-lance author living in Grayson, Georgia. A graduate of the University of Georgia, he has written everything from international radio programs to award-winning short films, but he’s recently discovered that his favorite thing to write is personal essays, especially ones about his kids.
Jason’s work can currently be found in the July 2011 issue of Atlanta Parent magazine, his second article published with the magazine. He has also written for New Man Magazine Online, and his essay “Waffle House: A Scattered, Smothered and Covered Story” won Honorable Mention in the 2009 Storyhouse.org Nonfiction Competition. His short story “Homecoming”, set in Athens, Georgia, was published in three parts by The Cynic Online Magazine (www.cynicmag.com) in spring of 2010.
Jason is the Youth Pastor at Chestnut Grove Baptist Church and has been married to Rachel for almost 10 wonderful years. He and Rachel have two kids, Ella and Jonathan.
I’m going to put a link to Story South on the new blog I’m involved in with friends Tammy Doherty (self pubbed author) and David E. Arp (self-proclaimed older guy oil field trash).
