Osama Bin Laden Is Dead. Does It Matter?

I know this is shameful pandering to a current event, but I can’ t help but ask:

Does it really make a difference that Osama Bin Laden is dead?

Yes, for the families left devastated after 9/11, closure is a good thing. And for those who vowed to serve and fight for justice for those families, it’s a great day.

But after all that’s happened in the world the past 10 years, can we really say that this one man’s death will matter?

What do you think? Myself, I need to sleep on it. More tomorrow.

  1. Best to sleep on it, simply because you’re right – this is a symbolic point, one that was sorely needed. Will we be experiencing a backlash because of this? You betcha! Does that mean we should not celebrate a bit after knocking off Public Enemy No. 1? Not a chance.

  2. Its just another distraction by the powers that be. We watch the gladiator games and cheer as they conquer our foes, while the government slips through another crack between witch our laws are bound. Our country is caught the fools in a perpetual magic act. We always keep watching the hand they tell us to watch. Anybody else out there smart enough to realize this? Or are you too busy being dazzled by the glitter and flash of the most recent magic act?

Tell me what you think...
